We importanted our music video's soundtack 'Ignornace' onto the timeline, we then used the Split Clip tool to edit the song to remove any unwanted parts and to ensure the song was at its correct length and that every part was where we wanted it to be at.

Film Editing
After every time my group and I filmed we begun to edit our new footage in the following Media lessons. By editing the footage after we recorded it instead of waiting until we had finished all of the filming, worked better for our group as were able to recognise what needed to be refilmed due to lighting and mistakes for example. We also visioned new ideas and camera shots/angles to be introduced to our video.
To start off the editing process we uploaded the song to our music video 'Ignorance' to Abode Premiere. After editing the song so that it was the exact length to our video we began to upload clips from our filming.
We then used the 'Timeline' tool to fit the clips into the correct places so that they would sync with the song.

The Timeline tool helped my group and I greatly to organise the clips in order on the timeline and then to cut the clips to the required size. We were also able to remove any unwanted scenes within the new clips.
To cut out the unwanted scenes from the video we would use the 'Split Clip' tool. You press the Split Clip button once you have dragged the red bar on your timeline to where we wanted the clip to start/end.

Editing Problems
In the beginning stages of editing our two lots of footage we encountered minor problems due to our lack of expertise and experience with the editing programme 'Abode Premiere'.
Cutting
The first main task that my group and I undertook was cutting our video to fit and correspond with our soundtrack. The editing involved splitting the clips to remove any unwanted filming, we also shortened the clips to allow the video to sync with the music, when doing this we was unaware that we was also cutting the sound track which removed parts of the song and forced us to undo the work that we had done to be able to recover the song. We later discovered that to avoid the problem we must ensure the video clip and not the entire time line is selected, which meant everything in the time line would also be split.

Time Stretch
My group and I wanted our music video to be fast paced, with quick, short cuts and various selections of different shots. We then wished for some of our shots to be sped up which involved using the time stretch tool. When using the Time Stretch tool you estimate the percentage of how long you want the clip to be sped up by which therefore meant we had to use a trial and error method to get the clip into the correct time frame. However, after guessing a few different percentages, we managed to get the clips to the correct speed.
Sound
We mainly edited on just Zoe's computer, which we were using to access Adobe Premiere to edit our film, but Zoe's computer would not allow sound to work and therefore caused problems. We could not hear the song and so could not place clips at the correct point. One clip involved the actress singing a line to the song, while another showed her writing out some of the lyrics and it was therefore vital to hear the music as it had to fit perfectly. By editing sound controls and using headphones, we managed to hear the music and therefore was then able to fit in the clips accurately.
Unreliability of Abode Premiere
On one of the days of editing Abode Premiere was corrupted and would only allow us to use the programme for around ten seconds before crashing. An IT technician eventually fixed the problem but this consumed the majority of our lesson time and therefore valuable editing time was wasted.
Lack of User Memory Space
The final problem that my group and I encountered was that Zoe's computer (the editing computer) didn't have enough space to hold our film. It was a continuous problem as we were constantly having to delete other existing items off of Zoe's computer memory to allow space for any new additions or add-ons to our film. When then asked the IT Technicians for memory space on Zoe's computer which was then approved.

Digi-pack Research
My group and I researched artists such as Rhianna, Kesha, Ellie Goulding and even Katy Perry. We choose these four artists as they are all extremely sucessful, yet unique female solo artists. They are unique through either the way in which they dress, perform and the music that they produce. In a lot of their videos they create crazy and wild vibes as if they are totally off the rails, this is the sort of theme my group and I want to create for our music video.
The theme for Rhianna's digi pack, I feel it is rebel like as she is portraying sexual themes and smoking or exhaling smoking it almost every photograph.

Filming Day 2
Over the Christmas holidays Zoe, Sarah Biswell and I did our second day of filming, located at Eynsford castle. The scenes filmed featured our actress Ellie, binge drinking Vodka from the bottle and chain smoking cigarettes. There were also some featured scenes of Ellie simply walking in scenes looking distressed and messed up physically and mentally. Physically through her scruffy appearance and the after effects of binge drinking and heavy smoking and the mental effects of that she looks upset, angry and confused.
Copyright Letter
Sarah Biswell a member from my media group wrote on behalf of all to the group to 'Warner Music Group' asking for permission to use the Paramore song, owned by them.
Here is a print screen of the message.

Magazine Research
The song featured in our music video 'Ignorance' by Paramore is the song and album on the poster featured below. It is an Indie Rock band consisting of four males and one female. The poster below features the band Paramore promoting their new album and the song 'Ignorance'.
Our magazine advert for our artist 'Elle' is planned to be more clean cut and feminine than the poster above. But my team and I still aim to portray a rebellious image of our featured actress 'Ellie Blancke'. We aim to do this by making the background of the poster a cool, crisp colour potentially a light blue. Ellie will be dressed quite glamorously but will pose with attitude to straight away kick off the theme of the music video and the story behind the song.....a messy break up.
