Film Editing

After every time my group and I filmed we begun to edit our new footage in the following Media lessons. By editing the footage after we recorded it instead of waiting until we had finished all of the filming, worked better for our group as were able to recognise what needed to be refilmed due to lighting and mistakes for example. We also visioned new ideas and camera shots/angles to be introduced to our video.

To start off the editing process we uploaded the song to our music video 'Ignorance' to Abode Premiere. After editing the song so that it was the exact length to our video we began to upload clips from our filming.
We then used the 'Timeline' tool to fit the clips into the correct places so that they would sync with the song.

TIMELINE

The Timeline tool helped my group and I greatly to organise the clips in order on the timeline and then to cut the clips to the required size. We were also able to remove any unwanted scenes within the new clips.

To cut out the unwanted scenes from the video we would use the 'Split Clip' tool. You press the Split Clip button once you have dragged the red bar on your timeline to where we wanted the clip to start/end.
